The 31st Vietnam International Trade Day was held from April 13 to 16, 2022 at Hanoi International Exhibition Center (I.C.E) at 91st Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien emphasized that after 30 years of accompanying businesses, Vietnam Expo has become one of the most important and largest-scale trade promotion activities of the industry and trade sector.

In particular, Vietnam Expo brings many economic values as well as practical opportunities to help Vietnamese enterprises increase exports, develop the domestic market, improve their ability to participate in global value chains, and contribute to active part in implementing the Government's commitment to international economic integration.

Vietnam Expo 2022 attracts 410 Vietnamese and international businesses from 15 countries and territories around the world to exhibit and introduce products with a scale of 380 booths, an increase of 110 businesses and 80 booths compared to with the previous year. This event brings many economic values as well as practical opportunities to help Vietnamese enterprises increase exports, develop the domestic market, improve their capacity to participate in the global value chain, especially after difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Implementing the Government's policy of "Safely adapting, flexibly, and effectively controlling the COVID-19 epidemic", this year's fair continues to be held in the form of direct and online combination through the National Digital Trade Promotion Ecosystem platform. The direct fair will take place in 4 days (from April 13 to 16) and the online fair will be held for 1 month (from April 13 to May 13).

This year, Vietnam Expo welcomes Korea's presence event as the Guest of Honor - “Guest of Honor Country”. The Korean exhibition area has display area of more than 300m2 with the participation of 75 businesses in the fields of: Prepackaged food and beverages - Beauty products - Household electronics.

Along with that, the Republic of Belarus participated and was a special guest country - "Special Guest Country" at Vietnam Expo with the main export sectors of Belarus including: Oil and gas, machinery and equipment, research. and development, medical supplies, food and beverage.
